Simple... I tried a bunch of other varieties but did not like a one of them but butternut on occasion. I do it the same way. We ought to get together this winter and plot and plan. I'd love to grow veggies for you (no spray, no chemicals but not certified) maybe in trade for something... This was a strange year. I am not surprised at your "one small zucchini" as mine did not even threaten to need to be placed in unsuspecting friends cars this year! We were left squashless, so I have had to hit our local farm market for ours. I even take them for lunch at work. I like mine with butter and depending on the squash salt or brown sugar. We also saute them with onions....<br />I make squash and bean (what I call Harvest) soup all winter, it's a huge hit!
