Homecoming for Emma and Lucy

It is time for Emma and Lucy to come to their new home. We were so excited and anxious with expectation. I never thought the day would come. Finally, they were 8 weeks of age and old enough to leave their Mama. We called Deb Madore at Riversmokelabs.com to make sure that they were ready to go. The puppies had visited the vet the day before getting their first shots, de-worming, and a check up. Everything was a go. WooHoo! We headed north. Okay, we live north but headed toward the Canadian border. Mapleton is about 20 miles from the border and 3 hours from us. Maine is a big beautiful state. We saw fields of wheat......

more wheat......

Lots of potatoes, and potatoes, and potatoes......

hay and more hay......
and the road abruptly ended. We thought we had hit the Canadian line. However, they do have roads in Canada. They were just repaving.

The Booda babies road on the dash for a bit, awaiting the puppies.

Then they grew tired and took a nap in the new dog bed.

We finally made it to Mapleton.

After a few turns there was the sign for Riversmoke Labs

We finally made it. Hooray! The kennel is very nice.

This is Lucy. She is outgoing and bouncy but well behaved.

Emma is more reserved. She likes long walks on the beach. Oh, ha ha.

Such a little girl in a big world.

This is Lijah the beautiful mama of our girls.

Good bye mama, we'll miss you!

Off we go. They are such good travelers. All smiles.

Attentive and watchful...

but are still babies.

Napping with my Booda.

Sleeping with my Jasmine.

We got home late and the girls ate and went to bed. The next morning they were full of energy and getting acquainted with the outdoors.

Wrestling in the driveway.

Of course we had to have our own pool

Plenty of quiet time

Hello and welcome to our new home

Much love and prayers from Mainely Ewes Farm
Kelly, Alex, Emma and Lucy
