The New Blog Book is Here

For some of you who were born after a certain age you won't get this. For us older birds this will make sense and make you laugh (I hope). In 1979 a very silly movie came out starring Steve Martin. The Jerk. It wasn't a earth shattering movie, it didn't change my life or make me ponder the existence of the human race. It was funny, sweet and very, very silly. In one scene he is running down the street yelling "the new telephone books are here, the new telephone books are here". I don't know why I remember this line but I found it hilariously funny. On occasion I will get something in the mail and go running into the house in my best Steve Martin imitation yelling "the new (fill in the blank) are here". Okay, so I may need help. I find it funny and it makes me laugh. I have gotten some strange looks here and there depending on who is at the house and just how well they know me. Most of the time Ted just tells me "you need help girl". That is one of the reasons I love him. He gets me. A few days ago my new Blog2Print 2010 book arrived. The hardbound book of my blog.
Front Cover
Back Cover
Each blog entry is listed in the Table Of Contents for the whole year.

There were 253 pages total!

I now have 3 years of blog books. It chronicles the beginning of the farm.

They even print the comments from other bloggers.

Each entry it titled and dated.

I am always impressed by the quality of their workmanship.

I keep them on the shelf in our office. That way they are easily accessible.

You just never know when some poor unsuspecting soul, I mean kind friend my happen to visit and ask about the blog. I can whip them out like pictures of my grand kids. I'm proud of them. I may get side tracked by life on occasion and lapse in blogging. I love getting online and catching up with my blog friends. It is like letters from old friends. I sit down, get a cup of coffee and catch up with you guys. I love reading your comments. Some make me scratch my head and others make me laugh. Just like a good old Steve Martin movie. "The new telephone books are here, the new telephone books are here". Love you guys.
Much Love and Prayers from Mainely Ewes Farm and a few nuts.

I always wanted to do that with my blog. Glad to hear you were pleased. I have a couple of the same books as you have, on my bookshelves. I am always going to think of you now when I get something exciting in the mail : )

Wow, how wonderful. I have seen this button about making one's blog into a book, but never have checked it out. Your book looks wonderful and it is like a journal. I have to laugh because yes, I remember that movie and no one here would catch on to what I would be doing if I did what you did! LOL. blessings,Kathleen

That is a beautiful way to keep your blog posts and so much fun being able to sit by the fire and just read posts, comments, etc. You are such a smart cookie!

Well, my goatness! I think this is almost better than Peanuts. I said 'almost'. I'd be proud too!

By the way, how do you get this done?

Those books will be wonderful keepsakes. What is the cost of having that done?

Great idea! And I just had to comment about what happened when Steve Martin's character actually got his name printed in the phone book. ~Lili

Thank you so much Kelly! Goat Philosophy 101 is in the making! I shall soon be running out of the barn yelling, 'It's HERE!' :)

I remember "The Jerk"... funny movie. Happy to say I have the same kind of sense of humor. Glad you have had your blog printed. I have though about getting mine put on cd and eventually printed. Did you use Blog2Print? I checked out their page, but didn't like the way my blog looked on their preview. Maybe because I use Safari?

OK I am missing where to find the link - 'cause i would probably love to do this - the blog is such a personal record of our time and including the comments is TOO cool. I'd sit and have a cup of coffee (and laugh with you about the whatever is here the whatever is here!) then look through your lovely books -
can you direct this easily confused person to the precise spot? wish I was saying the baby goats are here but alas -no babies this year on Buhlaland!
